welcome
OK so im new to this blog thing, but I thought I would give it a try - so I said to myself what am I going to start with? I figured what's a hot topic right now that I myself am also interested in - healthy snacks. So I figured I would start something about that...
I noticed over the past few years its a lot easier to eat healthier and still get great taste. I'm not one of those that wont eat anythign , I def like to treat myself once in a while (especially chocolate..) but overall I try to eat healthier, and I find it hasnt been as difficult as I thought it would be. For instance I'm a big cake guy, and I loved having Drakes coffee cakes in teh morning - but it was loaded with calories & fat - something I had to cut out. But now they have a low fat coffee cake - tastes almost the same, and each one only has 1 gram of fat!
Also I love in between snacking - so what I started doing was eating nuts - most of them are highly nutritios, and they are very filling as a snack - I found a great website that sells nuts - www.jdfinefoods.com - they also tell you what each nut nutritional value is which I liked - Their Macadamia nuts were great - the price is high, but I shopped around and apparently this is an expensive nut, so there's not much I can do... http://www.jdfinefoods.com/products.asp?productID=30635&deptID=1005&parentID=1003 They also have a lot of dried fruit which i should try one day (I really wanna get the candy though...)
Anyway gotta get back to work - I'm not sure if anyone actually reads this, but if you do I would love to hear your opinions and suggestions for eating a healthy diet with an unhealthy appetite...
